We stayed in site 150 which close to the camp host. He was always checking on us to make sure we were okay and if we needed help. Thank you, Martin, for making us feel like it's our home as well. Everyone who works there takes care of the campground very well and nice. Clean spot and beautiful spot when the sun comes up and sun goes down. Very close to the bathroom as well. You are surrounded by another campsite's. But it was nice regardless.

Nice site in the middle of the campground, surrounding sites are separated by a reasonable distance. The parking pad here is double width, we were able to park a 25' trailer and two trucks without any problems. Flat area in the site can accommodate a few good sized tents, restrooms are a short walk away. Bears frequent this area; every day we had one pass through so keep a clean campsite! Downside of the bear visits is the noise people would make at all hours trying to scare them off.

Very pleasant campground. Good separation between camp sites. Clean restrooms. Good wildlife viewing in the area (bears, birds, kokanee salmon). Hiking trails from the campground to Fallen Leaf Lake, Taylor Creek Visitor Center and creek-side trail, and down to Lake Tahoe. Don't miss the Tallac Historic Site!

Lovely campground! Went the week of 10/7/2023 and had no problem making a reservation online the day before. We arrived after staff had left and there was a piece of paper taped to the toll booth for us to grab. Bathrooms were clean enough and had sufficient toilet paper. Showers were great as well. It should be noted that the tokens can be acquired from a machine attached to the side of the mini market building at the front of the campground next to the toll booth. An employee will buy them back if you don't use them all. Bears are very active, one tried to take our food AS we were putting it in the bear box. Use them!

We thoroughly enjoyed Fallen Leaf. The biggest pain point was just that people got way to loud and worked up about bears. The bears were pretty comfortable wandering the camp grounds. That's fine. But people shouted and banged pots and even sounded air horns at 2 or 3 am. That's not necessary.
The camp site was clean and beautiful and the lake is gorgeous!
