The campsite was very nice & clean, Lana was very welcoming & helpful with all our questions & needs. However, reserving a site at Fallen Leaf was almost impossible. We got up early to get onto the website, within minutes all sites are full, yet close to half the campsites were empty. There’s got to be a better approach for reservations 🙏

5 Stars for the quiet, pretty campground.
2 stars for the nickel and diming. No matter how many nights you stay and hundreds you spend, you have to pay extra for the dump station. And, no matter how many nights you stay and hundreds you spend, you have to pay extra for the day use area, even when you have already paid to be there for the day/nights... or several days/nights (for example, to park your vehicle if you have a kayak or paddleboard to bring to the lake.)
Negative stars for the entry road: The (very long) road to enter the campground, for several years now, is what it must be like to drive on roads in a third world country. Drive *very* slowly or you will damage your vehicle and/or RV. It has gotten increasingly worse over the years with no fix.

Staff is always friendly and check-in is always a breeze. Super clean campground and very family friendly with kids on bikes and people walking dogs. We stayed at site 79 and had to only slightly level one side of our RV. Folks, please adhere to 5mph speed limit for both people and wildlife. It's a campground so leave your rush and hurries back in the city and enjoy a slower pace.
