The camp sites were in great shape. The restrooms and showers were clean an easy to access. The rangers were friendly and very helpful from sign in to check out.

We loved how there was plenty of shade and plenty of space between sites. The host was very hospitable. They saw us looking at the showers and let us know one of the showers was not working and delivered shower tokens right to our door a short time later. The bathrooms were flush toilets and the bathrooms were very clean.
We came to mainly mtn bike and there are plenty of good trails in the area. The weather did not cooperate and was unusually cold and rainy, but we made the best of it and rode anyway knowing we had hot showers waiting g for us when we got back to camp.
I highly recommend this campground.

A wonderful campground with excellent sites. Be aware though that although the campground allows a hedge pickup dragging a 40 foot motor home, it will not allow 2 17 foot camper and to share a site. I’ve racked my brains trying to u set stand the logic but it fails me. If one respects the 6 people 2 vehicle rule what harm can there be? I’d love someone to explain it to me.

Excellent hosts, they are always available for information on activities and do a great job of keeping the sites tidy.
The problem of reserved and paid for sites that are unoccupied (no shows) must be addressed. It is unfair to taxpayers to have sites taken out of use by people who "just might" show up;

Fallen Leaf Lake was gorgeous. Water like glass in the morning and gentle waves here and there later on. Lots of swimming (I was one of two people who went in that I saw, and I was in Heaven)! Saw my first Black Bear and the salmon spawning at Rainbow Bridge. there was some trash left in my campground by the previous campers, but I just picked it up and put it in a trash bag and that was that. One thing I wish had been different was that the camp store was closed even though this season wasn't over. That was the only reason I drove the entire trip --- to go get firewood. It was a wonderful visit and I wish I was back there now.

Facility clean, camp space spacious and not stacked on top of each others. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned multiple times each day. Large shower stalls provide plenty of water volumes and reasonable priced ( note: Fallen Leaf showers are one of the better one during our year long wandering). Access to a dog friendly lake is plus as many other surrounding campgrounds donot allow dogs on their beach. Employees very friendly and helpful and waved hello as they passed by in their utility carts. We did not have reservation but drove up and a helpful kios employee gave us choices of several canceled spots and help us select a great quiet site based upon our criteria.
We saw a total of 6 bears (1 mama bear with 2 cubs, 2 big bears traveling together and one solitary bear ) lumbering thru our camp but never feel endangered as we properly stored our food in the provided bear box. We did hear some nearby campers complaining about bear(s) vandalizing their equipments/campgrounds but as long as one take necessary precautionary and store food in the bear box and discard trash in the bear proof dumpsters , there should be no problem as during the fall these bears only were interested in fattening up for the winter and prefer not to have any interaction with humans or their dogs
Will looking forward to return next year.

Beautiful, peaceful location. Enjoyed lots of space between the campsites. Only problem when we visited was that the water had been shut down due to some problem. If that problem is corrected, I would put it on my list ofexcellent campgrounds to visit.
