Bathrooms were not cleaned over multiple days. Many of the bathrooms had showers that were out of service and broken or unusable toilets. It didn't look like any repairs were being done on any of the bathrooms our entire stay. We've been coming to Fallen Leaf for the past 12 years and this has to be the worst time we've had. Very disappointed with the cleaning and maintenance staff. Some dumpsters were locked and unable to use forcing you to walk further with your trash and finding those dumpsters were full. People were piling up their trash next to the dumpster. It seems that the campground has slowly deteriorated over the past couple of years

We camp here every year in June and love it. Lots of room between the sites. Generally well maintained. Hosts & staff very friendly & helpful. Beautiful forests & lake. Lots of places for hiking, biking, lake, creek & Lake Tahoe adventures.

Location is excellent and the camp staff and hosts were most professional. Amenities however are severely lacking. Restroom facilities did not have hot water and the faucets were those push variety. Understand the desire to conserve water but the on, then off faucets make it difficult to brush teeth, shave or even wash face and hands. Also there were no mirrors in the restrooms. So this was a definite negative. Additionally , our campsite - 164 - was very strangely laid out: From the "bear" locker near the entrance to the site it was about 20 or 30 feet to the grill, then another 20 or 30 feet to the fire pit, and finally another 20 or 30 feet to the picnic table, A very dispersed campsite to say the least. All in all, if it wasn't for the location, this campground would barely rate one star.
