Great campground with good amenities, showers, shade. In general, people good about quiet hours. But a lot of barking dogs one night and a rowdy group being loud and playing loud music another night. The music got turned down after about 20 minutes, so it seemed the camp host did a good job. Some campsites a long way from the lake so I wish I’d had a cart to get my paddle board down to the lake. Wonderful lake and location. Will definitely go back!

Really nice campground, very close to Lake Tahoe. Campsites are well maintained, nice showers and bathrooms. No AT&T cell service. I would definitely go back.

We absolutely love coming to Fallen Leaf Lake! We've been coming here for over 30 years. There's plenty of things to do....hiking, kayaking, cycling etc. It's also just a stones throw from Lake Tahoe's Baldwin Beach, Camp Richardson and Pope Beach and plenty of other areas for activities! There are occasional visits from the local bears coming through the campground but as long as you exercise bear safety rules there's not much to worry about. We did have a few bears come through our campsite but they didn't bother us....just looking for food. I did have one close encounter with a mama bear and two cubs but I just waved my arms and talked to them they just wandered off with no incidents. We'll definitely be coming back again!

I love this campground. It is kept so clean. I'm very disappointed that the doggie poop bags have been taken away. I picked up a GIANT POOP on the beach which was not from my dog. Also, PLEASE put liquid soap in the bathrooms. Over 200 campsites at $41 a night I think you can afford it. Again, I love this campground but these issues need to be addressed. Thank you!

There were several bears terrorizing the campground. People were honking car horns and air horns to try to scare the bears away. Judging by how the bears are so dgaf, the bears are probably deaf at this point.

Our Family has been going to Fallen Leaf Campground for decades and it has just gotten better and better. The facilities, grounds upkeep, and especially the host’s and hostesses are dedicated, helpful, hard working, and committed to making our experience a joy! This year, however, there was a problem with showers working. The reservation system is challenging for those of us who are technologically challenged. It was easier when we could talk with a person. All and All we are most grateful!
As a side note the road from the highway to the campground is the worst! And it would be most helpful to have cell phone coverage and wi Fi.
