Fallen Leaf Lake is Amazing!
We have been camping here every year now for over 10 years. We have had our share of rowdy neighbors and frequent daily visits from bears but have always had a great time. This year was a completely different vibe. No noise, no bears & the hosts were driving around constantly and there to help anytime we needed it. There will always be those campers that are inconsiderate but the hosts out did themselves this year! My only complaint is how hard it is to get a reservation. We usually stay 6-7 days, it takes us so many tries each morning to get a reservation & so many campsites are empty when we are there.

Love spending time here each summer. The lake is crowded on weekends but much better midweek. Rules posted say no dogs on the beach but there are so many and people let them run loose. Camp Hosts say there is nothing they can do though. The campground is clean and well run. Bears are plentiful so keep your food and scented items in the bear box. Bears can and will get into your vehicle. Also we had a coyote come through our campsite on a couple of occasions so make sure your pets are not left out side alone.

Beautiful campground! Very convenient to get to all the Tahoe highlights. Camp hosts made it so easy— we arrived to the campsite late at night, and all the info we needed was put in a labeled envelope at the gate!

Me encantó el lugar difinitivamente se siento una conexión increíble a la naturaleza los espasios están muy bien los baños súper limpios el lugar muy tranquilo. Y el lago también muy bonito y las vistas que tenía a la montaña eran increíbles.

Fallen Leaf Lake is very scenic and we enjoyed our stay there. HOWEVER, the volunteer hosts seem unwilling to enforce the rules. The site next to us had thirteen teenagers, despite limits of 6 per site. Limits of two RV s per site were similarly ignored. As a result of overcrowding, what facilities there are strained. Signs at the lake stated that belongings were not to be left overnight, but people routinely ignored this, leaving chairs and things to claim "their" stretch of beach when they were not there. Another problem is some sites like ours were a great distance from any bathroom.
