Great location near Emerald Bay, campsites were nice, but a little close together

Some showers were broken. We couldn’t have fire due to restrictions. Water spigot was hard to find. I probably would not go back.

Look no further for your Lake Tahoe camping adventure! Fallen Leaf Lake has it all in one beautiful outdoor recreation area!
Swimming, boating, horseback riding, hiking, and just outdoor relaxation at its best.
There isn’t a bad campsite in the whole campground. Showers & restrooms are conveniently located throughout the campground. There is also a on-site store!! The staff are friendly & very helpful with suggestions & questions.
We’ve been camping at Fallen Leaf for decades. There are a lot of camping opportunities in the Tahoe area, but we always return to Fallen Leaf Campground a couple times each summer! It is really heavenly!

Our campsite was beautiful and spacious. It was walking distance to Fallen Leaf Lake and a short drive to Lake Tahoe. There were several nice hikes within walking distance. The bathrooms and showers were convenient, as were bathroom tokens, ice, and firewood. Sadly the bathrooms were filthy during out 6 night stay. The toilets were very obviously not cleaned one time during out 6 night stay which was very gross.

The campsites are large and ours was quite private. The bathrooms were mixed in terms of cleanliness, which is the reason I am rating a 4 rather than a 5. Lots of families and groups, but it was quiet at night. We had a great trip, enjoyed a couple short hikes.

Excellent campground.
Big spots with lots of space for tents, clean toilets, clean bear boxes.
Nicely surrounded with trees, fallen leaf lake 5 minute from camp slot.
Really liked the place.

Beautiful campground. Clean bathrooms. Amazing, peaceful lake for swimming, paddling, paddleboarding. Try to snag a campsite near the lake (near campground entrance) if you can, because it is a 15 min+ walk to the lake if you are in the far end of the campground, and there is no parking near the lake unless you want to pay $12. This is a VERY bear-conscious campground, so if your whole party isn't willing or able to follow the strict storage rules, you should probably camp somewhere else.

The campground was spacious and clean. The yurt had lights and clean beds. Definitely a great experience for our first yurt. The campground was right next to the bathrooms so it was convenient. Everyone was respectful, and the noise level was quiet at night. Had a great time with the family.

The camp host gave our reserved site to somone else. We showed up at 7pm and someone else was in our spot. The camp host was very unhelpful and confused.
