Friendly check in. It appears nearly all sites are VERY unlevel. Power pedestal is so close to road it limited how deeply into the site we could park. Love the location and trees. Bathrooms are astonishingly ancient with much decay.

Camp Richardson was my first adult RV experience and it was perfect for what I needed. It was clean, in a woodsy setting (I loved the tall pines), The Grove on site, and a nice general store, and it was close to town. I loved it.

A great location for sure. A few things to watch out for. Not all of the campsites are "full hookup" and many of the ones that have hookups, they are either on the wrong side or are in a strange location and you could end up needing 2-3 sewer hoses and a very, very long power cord or water hose. Make sure you check! Camp Richardson itself is really nice and has all the amenities including horseback riding a little store, lakefront restaurant and more. We will definitely be back.

The hookups at this campground are not convenient at all — definitely bring extra extension cords and sewer lines. The bathrooms are very old and outdated, even by campground standards.
During our stay, the overall atmosphere wasn’t relaxing. Many campers seemed to have little respect for boundaries, frequently walking through others’ sites and playing loud music all day long — easily heard throughout nearby campsites.
There’s no on-site camp host, so if other campers disregard quiet hours, you have to call security. Unfortunately, security only drives by rather than approaching the site, so the noise usually stops temporarily and then starts right back up. It finally got quiet around midnight.
If you’re looking for convenience and proximity to Camp Richardson, this spot works. But if you’re hoping for the serenity and peacefulness that Tahoe is known for — this may not be the place for you.
