I was in site 60. It was a very large site dubbed the Eagles Nest as the tree next to the site houses an eagles nest at the top. Note the nest was empty at the time of my stay, so I did not have a bird doo doo everywhere. Nesting is usually in the late fall/winter/spring as that is when they lay their eggs most of the time. The site was fairly level, I was able to level out my 32' motorhome with a couple of blocks of wood. The campground is convenient to South Tahoe amenities, and has its own coffee shop, general store, beach access (with a very popular bar and grill) as well as a marina.

We had a great time great location. Showers are very old. Could use updates. The bathroom was clean for being so old. The camp Richardson beach was across the street and a short walk. The only complaint I have is that I added another day and I had to pay the extra fee like I was a new guest. Did not feel like that was right.

Campground is super nice, friendly staff and great People. Avoid spot #31. It’s terrible. Hookups are on the wrong side. You will need extension on your electrical and water. Plus no sewage. Had a horrible experience there. Only upside was that there is a lot of shade. Other than that; if you have an rv. Avoid it
