We love this place. We come back again and again. It’s relaxing, relatively quiet. There is a nice camp store with enough to keep you going. The spaces are nice and big. Big bearboxes. Toilets are clean. And the location is out of this world. The beach is the best I know!

Current staff was amazing. Lots of empty spots with a ‘full’ campground. Frustrating trying to make a reservation when everything is booked.

It was a great place to camp with the family! We were told to watch out for bears, so we were definitely aware and cautious during the day and at night. Thankfully, we didn’t see any! 😌 Overall, it’s a beautiful place with a nice beach. Lake Tahoe is truly magical! 🏕️🏔️💙

We have always loved Meeks Bay south, it's supposed to be tents only and no dogs, so it's much quieter but our host did have a cat. They have cleared a lot of brush around, so the sites are much larger now, and the beach is so nice.

A bear crossed through our campsite on S24 and it was quite an experience. The bathrooms are clean and access to the lake is very close. It's definitely a family oriented area. Unfortunately due to close proximity to other campsites a large family group across the way could be heard all night. It's a wonderful spot for families but if you're looking for more seclusion and quiet this is not the place. It's a beautiful scenic drive on the way with small towns more up north which had the rentable boats/kayaks/paddle boards/bikes. They do have small firewood bundles for sale at the gate.

Beautiful setting, cabin 21 faced the bay and beach was wide and sandy. Bears came every day so take the advice seriously to empty your car of all scented things and of course food. We brought food so didn’t try the snack shack. Beach rentals of SUP and floats available. So peaceful in evenings once day trippers leave, the sunsets are gorgeous! Next time we’ll stay longer, but bring all you need with you, it’s a long way to the store.

Chipmunk cabin was great! Clean, comfortable and a great view. Nice indoor dining and a picnic table right outside the front door. Great for families. It’s probably not the same kitchen you have at home but definitely functional. We’re coming back!
