My campsite was clean, close to the lake.
The park resident ranger was very friendly and helpful. He even let me use his electricity outlet to charge my phone for an emergency call.
The only downside is that there are no no showered in the South side and no electricity either.

The only thing we didn’t like was this campsite was a little too close to the highway. Bathrooms were always well stocked. Meeks bay for swimming is amazing. We loved it and will come back again.

Huge waste of money! We talked to several of our neighbors who claimed the property was under new management and that could explain the lack of care the place had. The camp host was not on site for the entirety of our stay (4 nights). There was 0 authority on the grounds and we were never asked who we were or to check in! We noticed multiple cars would enter the grounds around 11 pm and park anywhere they wanted. Since there was no host, guests were loud and having fires when there was a fire ban and a "High Fire Danger" in the area. It felt unsafe and not managed at all. The site claims you will be at Meeks Bay Resort, but if you are in a tent spot of 15+ you will actually be in an entirely different area. They claim to have showers but you must drive to the actual resort to use them (make sure its before 5pm or you will be unable to purchase shower tokens). Staff was rude and unprofessional. We were unable to check in until our third night because there was no staff on our grounds and we kept receiving incorrect information. The only plus side to the site is the extremely close proximity to Lake Tahoe. However, I would recommend finding a different site if comfort, professionalism, and upkeep is something you value. Extremely disappointed in the new ownership.
