What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Campground was at a great location. Close to a restaurant and convenience store should you need anything. All the sites were decently private. Site 1 shared a parking area with site 2. The bathrooms (flush toilets) were close with a path from the road to them. Picnic table, bear box, and fire ring at every site. Unfortunately the campers before us left a lot of trash including their entire tent balled up in the bear box. The host was nice and welcoming, but found it odd when he offered to call the ranger to dispose of the trash left at our site. We simple loaded the truck bed up with the trash and disposed of it in campground dumpster to leave the site better for the next folks.

Amazing campsite, just a mere 5-10mins from the Visitors Center and Village in Grant Grove. Will be back for sure.

A beautiful campground just a short distance to the visitor center and village. Both nights we were there, several deer came to the meadow to feed. Loved the access trail to the Grant Grove!

Loved the location and it was awesome to be right close to a sequoia grove. Being up on top of the mountain too was lovely and the view of the stars was neat. The campground had a good bit of space and each site was very unique and lovely.

The campground was so clean and the host was wonderful. Loved that we could have fires during our visit.

Pretty close to perfect...very clean bathrooms and plenty of space between campsites...convenient to be able to walk to the visitors center and grants tree from the campsite...

Beautiful campground with large campsites and tall pine trees surrounding each site. Great location- walking distance to General Grant Grove and The market and visitor center. Azalea is an easy drive to Hume Lake and a 1 hour drive to Moro Rock and Lodge Pole visitor center. Bathrooms were clean and camp hosts were friendly. Highly recommend!

Nothing wrong with the campground overall, but site 69 is terrible: impossible to level our 20 ft campervan (too much of a slope), and sites 69 - 71 are basically one parking space for 3 vehicles right next to each other! Nice trail from this campground to the General Grant Grove.
