What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

the pitch we were in was lovely and peaceful, perched on the top of the hill above the general grant trail. There was a lovely sunset just around the corner and good access to the visitor centre and trail. We sadly had someone nearby who ran their generator all the time (including later than generator hours but not overnight) so this ruined some of the peace for us. The pitches at the end of the loops take a while to get to the bathrooms so make sure you leave plenty of time if with young children!

This campsite is amazing, very well set out, great setting amongst the natural forest. Some leveling ramps are an advantage as some of the sites are not level. The best spot we stayed on our trip.

This was our first time at Azalea, and our entire group (four campsites in the same loop) enjoyed it. Our site backed up to the meadow where we enjoyed watching mule deer wander at dusk. It was a close walk to the Grant Grove Visitor Center, also. We plan to return! Everyone agreed the bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. 1 hour to Sequoia and 1 hour to end of the road in Kings Canyon

Site 8 was great! Lots of shade and open semi-flat space.
