What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Definitely a must to arrive early to any of the activities surrounding the area. We arrived on an early Wednesday morning and definitely will do so on our next trip. It gave us the opportunity to do all the major touristy hot spots like the General Grant, Moro Rock and Tunnel log with little to no crowds.

This is a great campground. It's centrally located to all of the Grant Grove Area, and an easy drive down the canyon to Cedar Grove (when the road is open) and about the same distance to Sequoia and all those activities. There's flushing toilets and running water, and if you get a spot on the perimeter you have a good deal of privacy and nature at your back. The reservation system opens several months in advance, so plan ahead.

Campground was nice, clean and centrally located. Heads up that camping near the bathrooms is noisy, and foot traffic is constant.
