What Guests Are Saying

Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Very pretty camp ground with spacious sites under the trees on our on hill. Fully booked early May. Camp site looked closed but only middle part of camp was opened yet. (no clue why not opening the rest of sites as well???). During the day allmost all visitors gone and felt as having our private camp ground on an easy day. Visitor center on short walking distance. Deer wandering through the sites. Only slow wifi at the visitor center. No coverage at the site.

Love the campground. We were in campsite 86 and it was large enough for our 10'x17' tent and was relatively flat. Glad that we were there early enough so that we didn't have to deal with the meat bees. I hear that they can get pretty bad, and best to have a screen tent when dealing with food. Our campsite did have a big black ant hill, but they left us alone.

Stayed in campsite 79. It sits off the road and you have to carry your gear to the site but it is a great site, more secluded. Plenty of shade for most of the day.
Overall, great site

Beautiful location, friendly camp host, I appreciated the accommodations. I stayed in site 60, and would highly recommend it because you don't have any neighbors on the side of you, you're super close to the water spicket, there's a recycling bin close by, the bathroom isn't too far away, and there are many trees to hammock from. You're also close to the General Grant tree, so you can go see it conveniently at the end of the day when there are less guests crowding it up. And you're super close to the visitor center, the market, and a restaurant if that's your thing. But it's not so close that it takes you out of the nature, a perfect balance.
