What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Love this camp ground and this campsite. Quite, tent camping only. Large camp site with a perfect spot for the tent.

Campsite #38 should not be considered as a camping site. The terrain is not flat, and there is only enough parking space for 1 compact car, although the information from the park website indicates a space for two vehicles.

We stayed in suite 53, which overlooked the tops of Grant Grove! Right from the tent we could see Gen Sherman. This campground was recently repaved and the sites near us, in the fifties, were meant for trailers. The bathroom is near the entrance and the tent sites, so a late night number two is about a quarter mile walk uphill from here unless you drive. We were really close to 54 and 55, which are on top of each other - the fire rings are 10' apart. The hostess said they don't let 54 out except for overflow. We ended up using the bear box for 54 for drink storage. Spacious site except it goes downhill quickly, hence the great view of the trees. Quiet overall.

Shade was hard to come by. Tent pad location was unclear. Bearbox was generous in size so we were able to get everything in. Water from the restroom faucet came out in a weak stream making it difficult to wash hands.
