What Guests Are Saying

Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Site 79 said that max number of vehicles was 2 but only had space for 1. I specifically chose that campsite to accommodate for 2 vehicles but was only made aware of the parking situation after I made the reservation.

Campground was clean and lovely to stay at and much larger than I expected. Enjoyed the availability of water faucets and restrooms. And the fire pit was great since I was able to grab free firewood from around campsite from whatever trees branches had fallen down. Absolutely enjoyed the time I got to spend here and hope I get a chance to come again.

Was amazing staying here. Wasn’t really worried about other campers making noise. Showers weren’t available, so plan for that. Was a little far from other Sequoia touristy spots. Want to try to stay at Lodgepole next time, but if not this campground was perfect too. Make sure to bring bug spray too.

Azalea is a great campground. We were at site No. 60, which I highly recommend. Like most national park campgrounds you're afforded a lot of space compared to state campgrounds, and our site was quite private. We found adequate firewood down the hill behind the campsite. The bathrooms have running water and flush toilets, but there are no showers in the entire park.

Ended up with site 102. Large site that accommodated myself and could have definitely accommodated more. Woke up both mornings to Mule bucks walking through my site. Beautiful skies at night! Only downside is that the sites are quite close to one another.

Basically a wonderful campsite. The location a dream. But especially because of this, it is incomprehensible that generators are still allowed on a campsite in a national park. Your noise spoils the stay completely and incomprehensible in the middle of nature. You can do without! Actually 5 stars, only two because of the generators
