This place was beautiful and the ranger was so friendly! It was a trip I took with a few friends and we had such a good time even when we were getting rained on.

Site 22 was amazing. Cold springs camp ground as a whole is amazingly beautiful. Definitely recommend sites 22-30 because they’re right next to the water. The drive up to the campsites is very narrow, be prepared for a long and slow drive up the mountain. There are many great hikes walking distance from the campground with beautiful views. Definitely pack for cold weather, the sites are shaded so it gets very cold. Overall, such an amazing trip and worth the drive.

We made a reservation just days before it closed for the season in October since campgrounds at Sequoia were full. The campground was nearly empty for our stay. Take note that it will take you over an hour to reach the campground from the entrance to mineral king road but it is a paved road so that is a big plus, only about a mile is unpaved as you reach the top. I would stay here again if I couldn’t get in at a Sequoia campground which was my destination. I can’t speak for any of the hikes or trails that start out at this campground, I imagine they are great due to the altitude and location.

It’s a beautiful campground. Very clean. Just a long drive with not the best roads but you’re aware of it ahead of time. Can’t wait to return

It is absolutely beautiful there, listening to the water flowing in the creek is so soothing when going to sleep. A Black bear came by really close to the campground though so be alert for that. Also the drive uphill is honestly very scary, be sure to take a good and stable car for that drive in the mountains. Other then that the whole experience was much needed, a great location to unwind and unplug from the world for a few days.

Very nice tent sites. But I’m really getting tired of driving the Mineral King road. The upper end desperately need repair.

Campsite 33 at cold springs was perfectly walkable. It was close to the water but wasn’t very deep. The site was managed well, we actually had a Ranger walk into our camp both days a little unexpectedly. There are plenty of restrooms, near boxes and trash cans.

Very nice spot, right next to the river. Good flat spot for a tent. Pretty good shade. Perfect time to go in late September. Close to water spigot and restroom :) will definitely come back
