Beautiful campground awesome trails, rangers were very attentive. The road in and out is terrible but My favorite bug out so far

Great campsite - keep in mind the overfill campsites (39-41 at least) have smaller bear lockers than the majority of the campground and do not fit most larger coolers!

Very remote. The drive is long. Don't go. (but if you do you will be in for a special treat)
Access to lakes and streams if you are willing to hike uphill and do 10+ miles a day.

Nice car camping sites with water and pit toilets in a compact configuration. Would be even better with showers, but can’t have everything! Rangers were super professional and helpful. Quite knowledgeable. Campsites are right next to a nice little trout stream, so location is lovely.

It was wonderful! Beautiful! I gave it 4 instead of 5 starts because the bathroom overflowed and they did not fix it. But, other than that it was amazing!

Cold Springs campground is located 23 miles (37 km) from Highway 198 on the Mineral King Road. It is an approximately 90 minute drive. The road is narrow, winding and steep, deeply rutted in sections, and mostly unpaved. It is not advised for longer vehicles, including trailers and other recreational vehicles. RVs and trailers are not permitted in campgrounds.
