Great campsite off the beaten path! Aside from the main entrance bathrooms are scarce so prepare accordingly

There are no campsites by the lake. Lake levels are very low and there is barely any shade. In the summer it gets scorching hot, but I am sure during not so hot days it it quite lovely. The campsites are very spread wide apart, which is great for privacy and space but not so much for the one set of bathrooms and we have seen people driving the cars to the bathroom.

Beautiful scenery and setting! Flush toilets and showers worked, but the bathrooms were very dirty. The sunset was amazing and the campground is perfectly located at a lake, small village and Sequoia.

I had a sweet spot for my RV overlooking the lake. We were next to the showers and the bathroom. It was so convenient. It was easy check-in and our park ranger was very pleasant. It just got too hot that we had to leave days early. Other than that, it was a great experience.

The campground host was helpful and friendly... but the location was just really disappointing. Don't go in Summer! The lake was buggy and just not something that you can really enjoy.. unless you are maybe launching your boat on it. Weather was SO HOT! It didn't cool down much in the evening so it was really difficult to sleep. No electricity and we didn't think to bring battery operated fans. Maybe in the fall or winter it might be more enjoyable.. but I would recommend not staying here in the warm/hot months.

Excellent camp hosts that were very helpful and attentive to campers needs. I showed up at the scheduled check in time, but my site was still occupied by the previous person. The hosts handled the situation with courtesy and respect to both parties. The facilities were kept very clean, and the sites were well maintained.

No much character to this campground. Few trees. Wide open campsites with full view of others around you. But a good value at $20/night, with running water at each site (but no threading to attach a hose; you have to go up near the bathrooms to fill your camper/RV water tanks), flushing toilets, and some basic showers. Temperature here is hot even at night in late June compared to the higher elevation of the nearby national parks campgrounds.

I recommend the 50 and 60-series campsites, as those are closer to the lake. I ended up loving the view from #78 but our neighbors partied until the early morning and left trash at our water faucet. Moreover, no shade was available at our site and there was barely room for a two-man tent. The bathroom, despite being in close proximity, had a two-hour line for the shower. Next time we’ll get there early and try to snag one of the first come first served sites.
