The campground was very clean and well cared for. A couple of bears wandered through the campground one night and more experienced campers scared them off by using their car alarms and yelling at them. It would be helpful to let all campers know about this technique in advance.

Site 108 is right on the path to the bathroom. We constantly had people walking within a couple feet of our tent. Not a spot I would reserve ever again.

Even with a decent amount of shade at our site, it was hot for most of the day into the night. River access was tricky but driving to roads end helped make up for that and the lack of showers. We had a nice amount of space and privacy at our site.

We just stayed overnight prior to a Rae Lakes Loop backpack. Facilities were clean, campers were quiet. All good.

Campsite was wide open and had zero shade. Attempted to move sites but was told the FS leaves “reserved” signs up year round and they recommended contacting rec.gov. Issue is there is no phone service anywhere in the facility. Would recommend

We enjoyed camping at Moraine the lake is close ,market and even gasoline at Hume Lake ,looking that black American bear was priceless in my opinion having the opportunity to see at least one bear is amazing and my kiddos cannot believe it! My kids my wife and loved staying at Moraine . If i can change one thing is more trees we need more trees at Moraine for shade and make our relaxing time more convenient. Thanks.

The showers at Cedar Grove we’re closed. The pay phones were not accepting quarters. Credit card calls were very expensive.
