What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

Been to this campground dozens of times…
Late May is great, weather , quieter, not crowded.
Like site #23 next to Sheep Creek , bathroom close, trail to other campground.
Lots of potential winter wood gathering for campfire. Some open sky for star gazing and bats at dusk.

We have been going to Sentinel Campground for over 20 years and love it each time. This time was different since it was the only campground open during the dates we were scheduled. Very difficult to get 4 spots that we need for family annual trip. But enjoyed our stay as usual. Campground is always clean and well maintained . We have our routine of visits to sights and love the routine.
Always not wanting to gush too much since inspires more people to come . Beautiful scenery and something for everyone.

Nice and clean campground. Sites closer to the river are particularly pleasant.
