What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground is well-maintained, clean, and set in a beautiful location near the river with ample hiking opportunities and great privacy between sites. Campers appreciate the friendly rangers and the peaceful atmosphere, especially in quieter months. While some facilities had minor issues, overall, guests enjoy a fantastic experience in nature.

I think this is the only campground open this season at Kings Canyon. The location is great, campsite has plenty of room for tents, but parking space is tight. Bears are visiting every night, hide anything smelly in a bear box. Bathrooms feel like they need some renovation, but there is running water in any case, which is great. The river is very close by, we bathed there after hikes. Some neighbors were very loud and stayed well beyond 10pm, hosts are not enforcing quiet hours. There is a Cedar Grove Lodge nearby with a shop and a sandwich place, but I won't recommend eating there, burger was terrible and salads are pre-packed looks like few days in advance.

Beautiful campsite, right next to the river. We had a bear visit, put all food items in bear locker

Loved this campground. It isn't rocky, the food storage box is always covered with shade and there is lots of space to set your tents. It's also really close to the bathroom and I loved that it isn't too close to the other campsites. It's also pretty close to the river. Will definitely be coming back to this site!

Awesome campsite! Right across from the Cedar Grove Village with showers, market, and restaurant. Nearby many great hikes in Kings Canyon as well as Boyden Cave (highly recommend!)
