What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground is well-maintained, clean, and set in a beautiful location near the river with ample hiking opportunities and great privacy between sites. Campers appreciate the friendly rangers and the peaceful atmosphere, especially in quieter months. While some facilities had minor issues, overall, guests enjoy a fantastic experience in nature.

The closing of first come first served options for camping is both confusing and unnecessary. Fortunately, the ranger told me I needed a reservation and I had one. However, with 75% of sites available, I would not have made a reservation, assuming availability. Upon arriving, all sites were labelled as reserved even though most were unoccupied, and a sign indicated there would be no availability without a reservation - yet there was no internet for making one. This feels like unnecessary barriers to camping and lack of clarity online or in any park information. I wonder if I would have been kicked out of a not-full campground?

Awesome! It was a delight being within the trees. Since there is not much underbrush, there are just enough trees to make it feel open and private enough at the same time. And you can buy campfire wood until 9 pm from the village nearby. Would camp again.

It was exactly what we expected, The only thing that could’ve been better as the showers could’ve been in operation,

Nice campground in a beautiful area. We were caught by surprise by the fact that the concessionaire did not open the showers in 2022. We saw nothing on the park website nor in the recreation.gov Information. There are even large “Showers” signs on the road pointing to the shower and laundry building. It didn’t ruin the trip, but we were kind of stinky after a week with no showers.
