What Guests Are Saying
Sheep Creek Campground offers a beautiful and private setting with clean facilities and friendly park personnel. It's an ideal spot for exploring the Kings River area, with spacious campsites and abundant free firewood. The rangers were fabulous and the campsite was clean and in good repair. 10/10 would stay here again.

Beautiful location but the bathrooms are treated poorly by the guests. Had to avoid one bathroom because of the trash and smells. Please be considerate of your fellow campers.

Love Sheep’s creek, love the campsites they are full of shade and near a river. Luckily I was able to book sites back to back so that our whole party could be next to one another. Will be back.

The campground itself is in a gorgeous area. The sites are amazing, with a ton of room. The bathrooms are flush toilets, but weren’t clean. Other campers were up partying until nearly 1AM, which kind of ruined the experience.

Great place to camp. Close to the river to cool off in the afternoon. Made chipmunk friends and talked to the birds, even the mean blue ones. Was very clean. Rangers are very friendly. There was a water main problem one afternoon but was fixed pretty quickly. Was a great time!

The site was clean and shady. Did not like that there was no Ranger presence in the evening to enforce quiet hours.

.Tire Chains may be required at any time. Be prepared at any time of year for a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions. Check Road Conditions at nps.gov/seki. Vehicles longer than 22 feet (including trailers) are not advised between Potwisha Campground and the Giant Forest Museum. Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible. Falling Objects - Don't linger under dead, cracked, or broken branches. Run if you hear cracks or snapping from tree roots, trunks, or branches (know that sometimes there is no sound, and very little time to react). Report falling branches or trees to a ranger. A California state fishing license is required to fish in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and Sequoia National Forest lakes and streams. Fishing licenses may be available at National Park and National Forest markets. |
