Great location. Great campsite very well maintained and close to the river. Will go again! Unfortunately lots of empty campsites all around from no shows. Making it difficult to reserve a spot.

We stayed at this campground for 6 nights. We were the only ones who stayed that long in our loop. The campground is right next to the highway so it gets noisy early in the morning but at least the campground is "sheltered" from the road by trees. Truckee river runs on the east side of the campground. I liked the loop that we were staying in. It felt more spacious, the campsites were not too close to each other. This site gets morning shade up to about noon. It is semi-private. I prefer staying at the state parks because of better amenities (they have showers unlike this campground) but if the state parks are all booked, this campground the site will work.

This is the third year in a row we've visited Goose Meadows and plan to come back at least once per year. The river runs right behind the campsite and you're able to take various little trails from some of the campsites down to the access road that leads to the river. It's dry camping, so that's something to plan for if you're in a trailer or RV. It's a very clean and quiet campground. You are able to hear the road noises at certain times of the day, but the site is set far enough back that it's not intrusive.

Great location between Truckee and Tahoe City, served my purposes as well. Noisy as it is right next to Hiway 89. Pretty dusty as well. Good fire ring and table, camp host was a good fellow.

Goose Meadows was an awesome camping location. Everyone we met there was so friendly. The campground is right along the river with many access points and such a quick drive to all things available to do in Truckee. We will definitely be back!
