Friendly camp host.
Clean restrooms
Great campsite. Short walk down to river.
For campsite 017 it would be nice to have the picnic table a bit further from the campfire ring.
Otherwise, everything was great.

Our neighbors were extremely loud and kept waking my baby, wife and I up at night. We cut our trip short and would like a refund. We’re currently in a dispute filed through our bank to get our money back. Terrible and worst camping experience ever.

Like that there are separate loops, still pretty close to highway

Goose meadows is one of my favorite campsite. True, it is not by lake but is by Truckee River where you can shallow dip yourself in cool water. There are some campsite that had spot to park your car on side of road which is great for RVs or those who wish to have right entrance door facing to campsite. There are other sites that have slots where you can park your car in privacy. It's very quiet and pleasant to camp. I will be camping there next year.

Another campground that is right off the highway- it's quite loud, but it's slightly more set back than Granite Flat. It's smaller as well, and divided into 2 separate entrances which is nice. Still recommend earplugs here!
