The grounds are beautiful, bathrooms pretty clean, It was right on the river, close to Tahoe City with lots of activities there. Be cautious of the campground host he is more like the rent a cop. He will drive around all day staring at what you are doing, he will walk through your camp site looking around when you leave, except my wife was there asleep in the tent and she felt very uncomfortable.

Great spot! Smaller camp ground with shade. During the day, you will need a pop up. Gets kinda warm but you can always go cool off in the river that runs behind it.

The campground itself is fine. The problem for me is that I am sensitive to noise, and there is a very constant stream of traffic on the road between Truckee and Tahoe city, especially in the summer months.

This is a small USFS campground along the Lower Truckee River. It is close to Truckee and not far from Tahoe City and Squaw Valley. This is a boondocking campground with about 20 sites in two loops. My two sons & I can get 3 sites next to each other. Summer days are warm to hot but there are shady sites but still sun for solar charging at most sites if you have portable panels. Night are usually cool. It snowed in June last year. The host has been there for several years and is friendly but enforces all rules fairly. While the campground is just off Hwy 89, the traffic is o.k.
