What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat campground is praised for its beautiful location near the Truckee River, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for annual visits. Many campers appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities like biking and floating, and the well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. However, road noise from nearby Highway 89 is a common concern, particularly at night, which can detract from the overall tranquility of the site.

A good alternative for lake tahoe campgrounds, one minor thing is that they are close to the road, try to get sites closer to the river.

We were looking for something close to Truckee, which this campground is. We left after checking in with the host who informed us Highway 89 which the facility backs up to (like 30 feet away) would have road noise until 11 pm and starting again at 5:30 am. Campsite very small and not level.
