We have been camping at Lakeside for years. I think the water has been cut off for the last three, if not four years. Why can't the forest service, or whomever is in charge of the water situation, get it fixed.
There also was a question from the Camp Host about having more than one trailer on a site. We have done this for years, and all of a sudden it seems to be a problem.

This was our second time staying in this site. We have a 23 foot trailer and it fit just fine. The site was oriented a little oddly, but we made it work. I loved sitting near the firepit each morning facing out towards the lake, drinking my morning coffee. What a beautiful view with the lake and mountains!!! We had fun in the lake with the paddle boards and kayaks and this year we did a little fishing with the kayaks and caught 2, 15" fish that we cooked up for dinner. Both years we've camped here in mid June. The temperatures have been really nice. We will definitely return in the future.

It’s a nice spot to stop with some pretty views across the lake. Sites were a bit indistinct, opening into the roadway with little vegetation to define them. The vault toilets smelled fine but didn’t look as clean as other national forest facilities we’ve encountered. Camp host had firewood for sale, an increasingly rare amenity. No recycling. No potable water at the campground, only at the ranger station in town.
