Didn’t go because that was not the sight I originally booked and it would not let me cancel or could I get ahold of anyone.

Loved the campsites. But just prior to arrival we received info that the campgrounds would not have water service available during our reservation. That’s okay, but the dump station was closed and the staff said they had no idea when it would open or where the nearest dump station was located.

Logger Campground/ Stampede Reservoir is beautiful. We've never camped up in Reno/Truckee before but worth the drive....
Arriving on a Sunday, the campground was 2/3rds empty! Enjoyed the eace and quiet and the distancing from those that were in our loop. Fishing from the shore is unsuccessful. We hoped a boat rental would be available, but only kayaks from what we heard about. The restrooms are very clean but there is no sink and the usable water spigots are NOT available. bring plenty of water for boiling, cleaning, whatever. There were only 2 people maintaining the entire campground. We had paid for extra cars coming to our double site but one was still charged!! The gal at the entry, only there from 9am to 3;30 was obviously stressed and has a hard time listening to the exact pronunciation or spelling of our name, even when handed the reservation print out!.. C'est La Vie, It was worth IT!

Logger is a great campground but unfortunately the water was shut off during our stay. Fortunately I was notified before the trip but no explanation was given for the outage. The campground was pretty empty during the week likely due to the water outage.

The campground did not have water during our stay. It was still a fun experience I would definitely recommend.

First time at this campground. Lots of trees made for a very shady site most of the time. All the loops had good access to the lake but with the lake level low, the shoreline is pretty steep so be prepared for that. Campground overall is pretty cheap and you get what you pay for. Vault toilets, no running water (there are spigots everywhere but don't appear to ever work), dump station closed, no firewood for sale, campers running generators/loud music all day/night. Seemed to be a rowdier crowd so maybe not the best choice to quietly enjoy nature. Great place if you have a boat and want to get the group out for a fun weekend.

Came from Reno to Logger Campground and the drive was beautiful. I will say at the time of our stay there was no running water so we prepared by bringing a 5 gallon water jug for 3 days, 2 nights and we barely had any left over. There isn’t any bear boxes which shocked me because this is the first time I run into a campsite without any available. I stored my things in my car but boy was I nervous over any sounds I heard at night. 😅 Overall, great place, very friendly people. We didn’t swim in the reservoir but we say lots of water activities happening.
