Prosser Ranch Group offers a beautiful and private campsite ideal for large groups, with ample space for activities and access to a nearby beach for paddleboarding and swimming. First of all the place is beautiful. Not easy access to the lake but still nice. We did have fun.

But we were a group of 30 from Thurs to Sun and we arrived with the trash dumpster full and no toilet paper for all of us.

It’s not a cheap campsite and a little attention to the campers was completely lacking.

The lady I called sent someone to leave toilet paper but still not enough for all of us. We had to get our own. And the trash was never picked up.

The spigots don’t work so we had to bring our own water bottles which meant more trash even though we brought our own water bottles to fill knowing there isn’t running water.

Our group of 25 had a wonderful week staying here! It is one of the most beautiful group sites we have stayed at, and it feels very private. Things to know - there is no running water at this site! There is no water at the other campsites nearby either. We drove into Truckee to refill our water jugs, but I just wish we had known before we arrived. We also all usually camp in our camper vans, so I was a little worried about the "tent only" setup. It worked out better than I thought! We could easily park our 6 vans at the front of the site, and then it was a short 75 feet to the tables, fire ring, and bear boxes where we set up an outdoor kitchen. There was a Santa Maria-style BBQ and lots of space for our dogs to run around. There was also a short trail that led down to a great beach spot on the lake. We visited in June and were the only ones there! Great for paddleboarding and swimming. Despite the lack of running water, we will definitely be back!

First thing first the water spigot isn't working. You gotta get ready to do water run often. They should change that in the website. Host said they are short on employees so it will be difficult to get in touch with them Overall it's a best campground for large group.

I loved the fact that the group site was away from the rest of the camp ground. I took my high school band for a team building/thanks for the year event and it was perfect.

Beautiful location on an elevated peninsula. Positioned at the end of the road before the boat dock so there is relatively little traffic. Site, barbecue grill, and fire pit set far back from the road creating a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
Very unique group site, well worth the visit and stay.
