The star gazing was top tier. All the roads leading to the site were paved, so any car could get there. The only slight problem with this particular spot was that since it was so close to the bathroom, you get a lot of foot traffic during the night, and it can wake you up. No cell service but a lot of people had Starlink.

For the most part the sites were fairly private - which is difficult to accomplish in the desert.

Was exactly as described. Added bonus was the mastodon (sic) walk just at back door

The park headquarters address is not the physical address of the campground. To get to the campground, take Interstate 10 to the I-10 exit 168 Mecca/Twentynine Palms exit and follow signs to Joshua Tree National Park. The exit is 25 miles east of Indio, California.
