Was exactly as described. Added bonus was the mastodon (sic) walk just at back door

Lower elevation, lovely campground in the southern part of the park. Fewer rocks and no Joshua trees, but still a very nice place to stay in the desert. Saw scorpions with a black light out on nighttime nature walks, and the oasis is it is nearby too.

This is a pull along site, it was a tight fit for our 35' 5th wheel in terms of width, but we managed. Site was spacious which provided a bit of privacy. There are no hookups. You have access to central water spigots and a dump station. You are in full sun.

The campground is well maintained with bear trash receptacles and nice rest rooms. It was quiet at night with friendly campers. We stopped at the visitor center with questions and they were friendly and helpful. You can hike right from the campground and the sunset view was spectacular.
