Great views, camping area was clean, nice walking trail down to a small oasis, bathrooms were clean and fellow campers were reasonably quiet.

Quaint, great location! The spaces were nicely spaced out and only small RVs are allowed so it was a great spot to tent camp. This location is opposite the other attractions so be sure to check the map and plan accordingly but we loved it. Be sure to stop by the ranger station if you have children, so they can complete their JR Ranger booklet.

Cottonwood Campground is well maintained and has hiking trails directly from the campground. The wind can make it a trying experience for tents, our campsite neighbor had to take down their canopy, and eventually their tent, and decamp and leave early due to wind gusts of 30mph. Without the wind, it can be a very good experience.
