What Guests Are Saying
Indian Cove Campground offers a beautiful setting surrounded by stunning rock formations, making it ideal for families and friends. Campsites are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with fire pits and picnic tables, with easy access to water nearby. While some sites are close together and noise from activities can be disruptive, many visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere, great climbing opportunities, and breathtaking stargazing at night.

Sites are useless. Parking pads are not even close to level, with tables and fire rings far from vehicle parking. Due to the rocks and sites being on top of each other, the noise level is insanely high. Not worth the trip.

Wonderful campground with amaizng views! Our spot (#79) was conveniently located next to the boulders, so we could do some fun rock scrambling, which the kids absolutely loved. While the tent space was situated closer to the car (meaning a bit less privacy), we really appreciated the picnic table positioned near the rocks. There was no shade in the morning, so it can get pretty sunny early on. Also, other 2 sites are close by, so we could really hear our neighbors (but hey were also quite loud in general).

Meh campground wise our site was really close to the other campsites. It got too hot during the day and we had to leave.

We always enjoy Indian Cove in JT. Not only do you get the JT experience but you technically don't have to enter the park and pay the entrance fee. And it's <10 minutes from a mini-mart for a beer/ice run.
The weather this Memorial weekend was outstanding. A high of 80 deg. which we've never experienced in past years. Usually expect 90+ on that weekend. Only issue we had this year was that the fire pit was pretty full of ash. Thankfully I always bring my trusty shovel and just scooped a bunch out.
Other than that it was a wonderful experience once again.
Thanks!

I got locked in the bathroom from the inside and a ranger saved me. 5/5 stars for the ranger. It was over 95 degrees outside (around noon time) and the inside was hotter. Had he not been passing by and heard me banging on the doors, it would've been a dangerous situation for me.

We enjoyed a quiet two night (Sun-Tue) stay in The Cove. Site 25 worked well because the relatively long and flat parking space accommodated our Sprinter perfectly. We will definitely return next fall.

I wanted to love this campground, but there isn’t a host and you’re on your own entirely there. Normally fine, but it’s accessed from the highway, not passing a park entrance station, so anyone can go in. Squatters abound. Hopefully you have a better experience than I did; it’s a crapshoot as to who shows up. One guy was blasting music with bass so loud it was ricocheting off of the rocks. I was able to find a spot of cell service and change sites, thankfully (because nobody was around to help, and I didn’t feel safe asking him a second time to turn it down!). The back up spot was quiet at first, and then neighbors there started playing music and letting their dogs bark and howl. Ugh. At least they weren’t quite as loud as the guy before. I bailed on my second night…this is my least favorite kind of “camping”, and it’s not relaxing. I wish there was a host.
