Beautiful Campground within Joshua Tree NP with many sites tucked into beautiful Boulders! If a rock climber, absolute heaven with climbing from your campsite!

Excellent experience at this campsite. Site 067 was a little small, but big enough for our 3-person tent right up against the rocks, and probably could've fit a second 2-man tent if needed. There was also plenty of space in front of the picnic table if we had needed it. It's not my favorite that you have to leave the park to get into the main part of Joshua Tree, but it's not a long drive to the West or North entrance, and it is very convenient to be able to get water just 2 miles up the road at the ranger station. The campsite was wonderfully quiet, and there were lots of lovely rocks to scramble up nearby. There were some boulders we didn't get to really play on but looked fun too.

Great location. clean, with amazing rock views. The only downside was occasionally catching a slight smell from the restroom, but it wasn’t too bad. Overall, it’s a beautiful site.

The Campsite was nice and clean. I was hoping for some kind of shad in the afternoon; but there was no relief.

Love this campground! This is one of my new favorite parts of the park, because it's quiet and isolated, away from all the crowds. Our specific site was great because it had a huge rock that provided shade over the picnic table so we could eat out of the sun. After dark it was amazing to sit around the fire and stargaze, so I'm very happy that we got to stay here. Would definitely return.

Great campground! Fun rocks for kids and/or adults to climb. Campsite 003 was perfect. The bathroom was close, too!

Site 012. We loved the layout of this site, to include the huge boulders our son could climb, large resident lizards, bunnies, and amazing view of the stars at night! The only cons of the site were the adjacent boulder climbs that appeared to be used by both small and large groups (some appeared to be tourist groups). While it was cool to watch them climb and rappel down, it reduced the privacy of our site, and greatly increased the use of our sites shared single park outhouse.

Magical. We have camped in Joshua Tree NP a few times now. All campgrounds have their own beauty.
Indian Cove is isolated- it’s own park entrance, which was great for us … this time … low traffic. Great! Quieter. Exactly what we needed.
The times when we wanted to see and hike in a lot of parts of the Park, this would not be the beat camp ground.

There is a great view of the valley and some phone service at the far end of the campground. There is a path to the north from the same spot that is a great view of the sunset.
