This is a very beautiful campground. It is surrounded by jumbo rocks, hence the name.

The 6 pm nightly ranger talk was fantastic both evenings we attended. I highly recommend it.

Site 119 is nestled between rocks and helped protect us against wind gusts. It also offered us a little bit of privacy. Space was enough for 3 large tents but has a slight grade. Downside is there’s only room for 1 vehicle. Pit toilets only. No water or showers. We brought our own. Bring lots if you can!
The loop 119 is in is very quiet. Other campers were very considerate of quiet time. It’s also very close to the pit toilet.
We were there for the total lunar eclipse producing a red hue on the moon. It was nicknamed “ The Worm blood moon”. March 3, between 3am to 5am. We really enjoyed this campground and plan to come back at some point!

The first night of our trip there was a very loud group past the quiet time playing loud music until well after midnight. We were very disappointed that a camp host or ranger did not drive around at dusk to remind everyone of curfew and to check reservations. I have been coming here for 15 years and this was the first time that didn't happen. The second night was worse because a group behind the restrooms were not only playing music past curfew, but also singing and being obnoxious until 3am. Again no ranger or host came by during the day/evening to remind visitors of basic common courtesy. Hosts did not come by until the morning to give them warnings. I imagine the park is victim to budget cuts and inefficient funding, which is a tragedy itself. I hope camp hosts will do a better job of monitoring sites and it's patrons. It's such a beautiful place to be a victim of such behavior.

Great place with jumbo rocks all the way around and in the campsite. Sites 1 and 2 are very tight for a camp trailer. Fairly close to the road and campground entrance. Traffic died down after 10 people were respectful for the most part. Not all that level but it worked.

This campsite is awesome! There's a big rock face you can walk right up, and it feels secluded from the parking lot and surrounding campsites.

Many excellent campsites were reserved but not occupied. If NPS insists on requiring online reservations, there needs to be some penalty for no-shows. It’s so easy for people to reserve sites and then decide not to come. The fees are no deterrent at all. One solution is to have a chunk of sites designated first-come, first served. Or levy significant fines for those who book sites then don’t show up.
