What Guests Are Saying
Jumbo Rocks Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with stunning views, quiet nights, and easy access to hiking trails and climbing opportunities. Many campsites provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, especially if chosen wisely, while facilities like clean restrooms enhance the camping experience. However, some sites are closely situated, which can lead to noise and foot traffic from neighbors, and the presence of bees may be bothersome for some visitors.

I think that is a great campsite for a few days of quiet relaxation. The campsite and restrooms were very clean. There are also many hiking trails around the campsite,so I,a hike, was very satisfied.

We love the experience of camping at Jumbo rocks. The sites may have their challenges but the reward is being surrounded by the amazing rocks while having the sunsets and night sky to enjoy. We went to the ranger night sky talk which was good as well. The pit toilets were clean and it's nice to have dumpsters for trash. Jumbo rocks has easy access to the Skull rock hike which is also nice.

The temps in early February are perfect for hiking. It is cold at night so bring warm gear. Really enjoyed the Ryan Mountain Trail.

The layout of Jumbo Rocks campground was excellent and scenic, with the roadway working its way through the huge rocks. The 'ranger talk' was extremely well-informed and the park staff was very polite.
Only complaint: the trail to Arch Rock and Heart Rock could have been a little easy to follow.

Jumbo Rocks is a great place to camp during the winter. The cool weather and clear skies are delightful. As the sun sets, you can enjoy grilling steaks and sipping wine while gazing at the stars in the night sky β it's a truly special place. Site #119, in particular, is set apart from the other campsites, allowing for a more private and relaxing camping experience.

Will absolutely be back to this campground. Though the sites were all booked online but most sites were not occupied, making it a calm and quiet night. Clean and spacious site, parking for our truck and trailer worked out wonderful at this site! No cell service for Verizon, until you get back into the town 25 min drive away.
