What Guests Are Saying
Jumbo Rocks Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with stunning views, quiet nights, and easy access to hiking trails and climbing opportunities. Many campsites provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, especially if chosen wisely, while facilities like clean restrooms enhance the camping experience. However, some sites are closely situated, which can lead to noise and foot traffic from neighbors, and the presence of bees may be bothersome for some visitors.

Beautiful park and camping spot that is perfect for a rooftop tent. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that we were unlucky that a group of students stayed in the spot opposite to us and kept us and other guests up all night with music, loud talking, and incredibly rude behaviour. Wish there were some park rules that would be enforced to keep this beautiful spot nice and quiet during the night.

Bathrooms were clean, and super easy parking. This sight is a little on top of one another and at a slight incline but easy to adjust to make everything comfortable.

Bathrooms were clean and we were happy to see a young woman ranger taking care of guests complaining about two visitors who kept them up all nightβ¦

this was our first time camping at Joshua tree and snagged the last camp site a month out. I was kind of bummed at first because it wasnβt a campsite with the big rocks as the back drop but it actually turned out to be perfect! The campsite was close to the car but not on the road. It was nice and secluded. The bathrooms were clean! the very popular campsites were so congested with cars, rvs and people. We had a really nice experience and saw so much wildlife walk through our camp!

Tent camped here in mid-March. Weather was frosty and had some rain and snow flurries most of the time. One of my favorite places to camp. Campground was pretty empty (a lot of no-shows; most likely because of the weather).

Extremely unique experience unlike any other RV campsite! Large campsites with grills and tables. Spectacular views of the desert, jumbo rocks & mountains. Limitless hiking opportunities through beautiful & unique rock formations and greenery. Nice restrooms. Unfortunately no dump station. Be prepared...no cellular service.

Beautiful campground and park. The site we stayed in was great for tent only camping. The rock outcrop provided a bit of shelter from the wind. The campground itself is nice to explore from and Skull Rock is not far along a trail that intersects with the campground.
The sites in the section I was in only allow for car parking -not RVs -although RVs fit in other sites on that loop.
Like all NPs, Joshua Tree could do with a few more rangers and other staff (not fewer) for additional programming. More presentations in the campground amphitheater and interpretive walks on weekdays would be a great addition.
