What Guests Are Saying
Jumbo Rocks Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with stunning views, quiet nights, and easy access to hiking trails and climbing opportunities. Many campsites provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, especially if chosen wisely, while facilities like clean restrooms enhance the camping experience. However, some sites are closely situated, which can lead to noise and foot traffic from neighbors, and the presence of bees may be bothersome for some visitors.

Jumbo Rocks was amazing. I was afraid weβd be too close to other campers, but despite it being a large camp site it never once felt overcrowded. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with toilet paper. Weather was perfect for Spring Break early April. Campsite #27 was great, flat, and spacious. Lots of safe places for my kids to climb explore. And you can even get 1-bar of cell service if you climb up a short path just about 100 ft away.

Jumbo Rocks Campground is an absolute gem! We enjoyed a several night stay in early April in our small RV in space #92, and it was wonderful. This space is a bit tight for RVs, but it has wonderful spots for tents, which are protected from the wind. The view of the walls of interlocking trapezoidal jumbo rocks is a sight to behold over your morning coffee. The entire campground is inviting, the layout is long and stretched out through the boulder fields, not with camp spaces all jammed together. Plan for the weather and ENJOY!

I love Jumbo Rocks and have been camping here for years. My only complaint is I wish there were a way to cut down on non-camper crowds flooding the campground. I literally had several tourists that pulled up and parked and several rudely walked through my campsite and the surrounding other sites to take photos and hike. This was upsetting and I was infuriated that my peaceful space was violated multiple times during my stay.

We loved our campsite, it backed up against an area of the rocks where we could wake up and immediately start scrambling. Even with the close proximity to other sites we still had decent privacy with the bushes and trees. Toilet was clean and barely smelly and fully stocked with TP. I donβt know if it was just the weather we had or how the rocks are laid out, but things got super super windy at our campground and made it sooo difficult to start a fire or heat up charcoal. The camper next to us had his tent shredded by the wind as well. All in all, great campsite and so easy to hike to Skull Rock.

Spot 89 was great! There is a large parking pad that is parallel to the campsite, which accommodated our truck and 23 foot trailer with extra space to spare. You have plenty of privacy from your neighbor in spot 88, and there are 2-3 areas that you could pitch a medium/large tent. This spot backs up directly to some of the jumbo rock formations which were great for amateur climbing.

Campsite had plenty of room to spread out. Bathrooms and other facilities were immaculate. Perfect spot.
