What Guests Are Saying
Jumbo Rocks Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with stunning views, quiet nights, and easy access to hiking trails and climbing opportunities. Many campsites provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, especially if chosen wisely, while facilities like clean restrooms enhance the camping experience. However, some sites are closely situated, which can lead to noise and foot traffic from neighbors, and the presence of bees may be bothersome for some visitors.

Site 81 was lovely for our small RV (26'). It felt nestled in the jumbo rocks and somewhat private. Would book this site again!

We spent one night at Jumbo Rocks Campground. It was lovely to sleep by the rocks. We enjoyed sitting around the grill and campfire in the evening.
Everything was very clean, and the sites were beautifully landscaped.

Jumbo Rocks was such a fun campsite to stay at. The sites were close to each other but a few shrubbery here and there provided some privacy. The toilets are pit toilets and were well maintained. The stars are amazing at night and the rocks are fun to explore. Skull rock is a bit of a walk away still but less than 20 minutes I would say.

We spent a single night tent camping, and was our first visit to the Park. The campsite was quiet and pleasant, and is in a central location for traveling to various locations within Joshua Tree.

Campsites were extremely close together. Our car door opened up into overgrown bushes. There was no running water. Other camp guests do not shut the bathroom door leading to bees and flies swarming the outhouse.
There was an older gentleman who constantly walked around and stared at me while I was minding my own business. He walked through our campsite on 2 occasions to get closer to me. Not a great experience.

Joshua Tree itself is awesome but we did not love Jumbo Rocks campground. Many of the campsites are extremely close together and it felt like we were almost in the same campsite as the 2 parties on either side. Furthermore, the campers next to us were really loud - I don't blame them, they were having fun, but we were looking for some peace and quiet. We will try a different campground next time.
