The site was wonderful. Good table, fire ring, pad. Restrooms were fine. We enjoy RVing here, especially in the winter months.

This is my very favorite campground in the area! Very well maintained, clean and the sites are very spaced out. No one bothers you. No trash all around. The lake is very beautiful! I would move in if I could!

Bathrooms were not maintained. Trash at shorelines. Random person camping without reservation at my reserved spot. Acorn Camp Supervisor has a dog roaming freely without leash. I came across it 2 times while hiking.
The hiking trails and views are wonderful.

We stayed in Spot # 100, in the Acron Campground. The lake view from the camp spot was great. Very quiet at night. Fellow campers were friendly and it was great to see the Park Ranger come through the campground multiple times. Spot # 100, was a little difficult to get my 35ft Class A in, but made it work. The bathroom by our spot didn't have a working shower and the drying machines were not working. Other bathrooms we used throughout the campground were hit or miss, all need work and deep cleaning and repairs. I did see bathroom janitors through out campground, but overall all bathrooms need a "top to bottom" extensive cleaning. Not sure if there we camp hosts on site, as we drove in on our arrival date past the entrance and didn't obatin a pass, even though we had reservations, so I guess that was ok. Would go back again, but only up to mid to late spring or fall/winter, as I think it would be to hot during the summer months.

Camping spur clean, however table benches not useable due to missing chunks of wood. Table benches need to be replaced.

There is something seriously wrong going on in this campground. Usually Army Corp campgrounds are clean and safe, this one was neither. Lots of trash, and not just cigarette butts and cans, but a wig on a fence post. A broken chair under a bush. 10 empty bottles of champagne laying next to a trash can (?). And the bathrooms were bad. No shower head so the water just poured out of a pipe and then wouldn't drain so the whole bathroom floods. No camp host in the campground that is open to the public but two camp hosts at the areas that have no campers (?) and a man in a dented up black Escalade who follows women throughout the park, on hikes and in the campground. Solo female travelers beware of this place.
