Tried to move to empty site was yelled at buy host, never tried to help me. Wanted me to move but camp was empty not another trailer. When he left I was able to transfer my reservation without host help.

The campground is just a parking lot. There are no bathrooms, although there are bathrooms down the hill by the marina/boat launch. No firepits. The worst part was that the potable water spigot did not have a threaded hose, making it very difficult to fill your RV tank, even with a water bandit adaptor. Our site (site 2) was not very level. All of this would have been tolerable/expected, if the nightly rate was $10, but at $20 per night it seemed overpriced compared to other campgrounds. For example, the night before we stayed at Panther Flats (near Crescent City) which had firepits, several water spigots, flush toilets, and even hot showers; and a nightly rate of $15.

This is more than a parking lot. The view of the lake is beautiful. They have a nice trail at the end of the asphalt down to the creek, beach, and some rather long hiking trails. The hosts are helpful, knowledgeable, and very friendly.
Don't plan to fill your RV water tanks. The potable water hose ends in some sort of brass jet. One cannot connect a garden hose to it. Perhaps if you have an old hose you could cut the female end and clamp it to the jet. But the pressure and sanitation would be a question. It would be nice if they could either replace the current system with a garden hose connection. Or add one.
All in all, a wonderful stay.

The camp house were excellent in all manner of helping and pleasantness. They get a four star rating. But the camp itself it's nothing more than a parking lot without any pit toilets there so you have to be totally self-contained, but they do have freshwater, trash, cans, recycling bins, and a place to dump your septic tank. That's all great a number one but I still think it needs a pit toilet if there are some fire..

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fees & deposits
- Show proof of payment for your campsite and pay a vehicle entrance fee.
- A vehicle entrance fee and pass are required for entry into Whiskeytown National Park.
Safety & rules
- Be aware of post-fire hazards like falling trees and branches in the park.
- Generators and loud noises are prohibited after 10 p.m.
Site types & loops
- Only self-contained vehicles are allowed for sleeping; tents are prohibited.
Fires & fuel
- Ground fires and fires in portable fire pits are prohibited.
Wildlife & food storage
- Store all food and toiletries out of sight in your vehicle to avoid attracting bears.
Pets
- Keep pets in a cage or on a leash (max 6 feet) and do not leave them unattended.
Site capacity
- Camping is limited to 14 days from April 1 to October 31 and a maximum of 30 days per calendar year.
