Beautiful dry campground up on a ridge overlooking the lake and offering gorgeous views. Very quiet and simple, which we appreciated. We were never greeted by a camp host, but there are directions at each site so we didn't really need one. There is potable water and a dump station. Clear view of the stars at night time, and lots of opportunities for fishing, swimming, and paddle boarding in the lake. Wildlife is abundant here if you know where to look! We will definitely be back.

As others have noted - essentially camping in a paved parking lot. No privacy whatsoever. No facilities other than a picnic table and a dump station with potable water. Most all sites require some leveling and are shaded most of the day - can't rely on solar. People drive in and out through out the day exploring the park...and because it is a cul-de-sac - everyone makes two trips through. Inexplicably, other campsites in the park/area have pit toilets, but are tent only...even though a pickup camper or van would be no different than someone driving a full size truck to those campsites. I won't be back to camp within the whiskey town recreation area.
