Nice place. Unfortunately our RV hat a break-down and we had to order a towing-truck. This was not so easy because there is no mobile-net. But the rangers at the entry are very friendly and they had a telephone. Unfortunatly they are only at the morning or evening at the office. There is no shop at the campsite but a fuelstation with shop in about 1 mi. The place is very quiet and we have seen some deers. Restrooms are basic.

We loved Crane Flat! I’ve stayed in Yosemite so many times I can’t count and have always camped in the valley. Although it is nice to be close to the villages, Crane Flat makes you feel like you are camping in the forest. I also feel like the bathrooms were very clean. No bugs which is huge because the bathrooms in the valley campgrounds can have tons of black widows. We would definitely stay here again. The only 2 cons is there were tons of mosquitoes not sure if it was the weather or location but we will be more prepared next time and the water spicket for portable water needs to be replaced.

Our campsite was on the corner of loop 100 next to the aptly nicknamed "Bear Meadow". We had tried (and failed) for a couple months trying to get a spot in Crane Flat, but I must say the experience once we finally got there did not disappoint. It is conveniently located near a gas station/convenience store which was a great comfort in case we forgot something or needed more ice for our food. Be sure to lock up your food in the bear proof locker on site because we did actually see a few bears very near by the campsite. We even woke up one morning to deer hovering around our campsite (looking for food scraps I'm sure.) Very memorable experience and very convenient location. I would definitely go again and plan to soon!

Quiet, central location to camp at Yosemite. Easy drive to Hetch Hetch, Valley, and others. Everyone at the campground were quiet. Easy hikes near by.
