Crane Flat is a beautiful campground. The renovations make it feel fresh without taking away the natural Yosemite beauty. We were close to our neighbors who played loud music until 11pm (why???) but even despite that, we loved our time here. This site has a flat parking pad and plenty of space for families to eat, play, and explore. We collected all of our own firewood with no issues so no need to buy wood before you arrive - it's everywhere.

Perfect campsite!! Car parking is available just a few steps from your campsite. Perfect amenities such as bathrooms, clean drinking water, and amount of space between campsites. We loved it!!

Stayed on 106 for 2 nights, I honestly think this is one of the best sites in Loop 1, not sure why the condition rating is "Poor" on the site detail page. This site is not too close to its neighbors and the restroom, so it's quiet at night. Although this campsite is on a slope, the area where you can set up a tent is quite level, so you won't feel the slope at all when you sleep. I had 2 4-person tents set up and there's enough room for a third one. And this site is also Starlink-friendly, the sky above the campsite is wide open, and although there are tall trees nearby, we were still able to use Starlink to access the internet smoothly for all three days without any issues. Hope this comment helps!

Water was not initially available at bathroom and mosquitos are a problem. But campground itself was fine.

Overall great campsite. Will be staying here again.
Check-in was sweet and simple. They just asked for an ID upon entry but we had a screenshot of the reservation (FYI:There is barely any signal at the entry booth).
Parking is horizontal to the site with plenty of room for two cars. Site 403 or 404 struggled a little to fit two cars. Please keep in mind the steps are a little hard to see at night. We brought solar powered lights and placed a couple in that area. We also brought a head lamp for any emergency bathroom trips. The bear box fit our 90 qt igloo cooler from costco. There was plenty of room to fit two foldable crates (Greenmade InstaCrate Collapsible Storage Bin). No issues with the box itself but you will need to put your hand inside to unlatch the door. We luckily didn't have any spiders but you never know.
Site had trees close enough to hang a Hammock but bring an extension as the one tree is very wide. 18 loop strap was too small. The area is fairly flat but there was a slight incline where we placed our tent. If you want to bring a table cover get the 96"x 30"!
72" is too short. The incline made sites 400-405 feel secluded from each other. Felt like it was just my group out there. The weather stated it was 90 degrees but it barely felt 82 degrees with all the tree coverage. Keep in mind it did drop to 62 at night.
Verizon had coverage but it was more delayed notifications and able to receive text messages.
If you an interested in the crane flat trial, the entrance is fairly close to this site.
Trash container is located down the base of the hill aound 2-3 minute walk.
Restroom were fairly clean and stocked. 1-2 minute steep inclined walk. If you are planning on bringing any elderly you might consider driving them up or staying at a closer site. Toilet paper was always filled. There is tap water located next to the mens restroom entrance.
The only CON about this is site are the crows... always had a 5 am wake up call.
