Hodgdon Meadow Campground

Site 4. Great site near the both the park entrance, camp entrance and restroom. Large site. Would pair well with site 3. It's about a 40 minute drive to the valley from this campsite.

Great spot for campers wanting to explore all parts of the park. Camp sites were leveled enough for pitching tents and friendly neighbors all around. Camp host was informative, especially when discussing bear sightings in the area.

Beautiful site, friendly rangers! Loved the peace and quiet

Second time staying at Hodgdon Meadow at site 25. Always a lovely time. Not crowded or too loud with the neighboring sites. Bathrooms not too far and was fairly clean, but needed attention a few times during our stay. Overall highly recommend Hodgdon if you can't get a spot in the valley.

The facilities were very nice, the only problem was the visitors unfortunately. There were a few groups with pretty loud campers well into the night. I also ended up having something from my site stolen when I was on a hike. Otherwise everyone I met was great and I would recommend for a person who doesn’t want to stay in Yosemite valley but wants the experience

Well maintained and pitches are nicely spaced out. Great location for the Tioga Pass.

I enjoyed my time at Hodgdon Meadow Campground! We had to move to sort 85 after one night because of the ‘Yosemite Shuffle’. It is difficult to stay for many nights at one camp site. The camp hosts and our RV neighbors were fantastic! We didn’t have to level our travel trailer much and had plenty of room. This campground is 45 minutes to Yosemite Valley. It is a close drive to Hetch Hetchy and is quiet and pretty.

Nice staff, and was able to book for Memorial weekend on two weeks notice. Only thing is there were no showers, which made it a little grimey after a couple days. Thats it.

I really like Hodgdon Meadow Campground! Quiet and animals are around. I knew there were bears 🐻 and we saw one climbing a hill right next to the entrance to the campground.
We had to stay in two separate sites. They call it the ‘Yosemite Shuffle’. 1st night was in space 104. Bring plenty of leveling equipment.
The next two nights we moved to space 85. Much nicer, not as bad to level and easy in and out. I want to compliment our Camp Hosts and other people at who were camping at the park. We locked ourselves out of our travel trailer and the keys were in the trailer and extra trailer key was in the Ford 150. A NPS came to the rescue and opened up the truck and we had an extra trailer key in the trailer. Our RV neighbors brought WD 40 and sprayed our handle and lock on the trailer. It should never have locked us out!

I like Hodgdon Meadows for a few reasons, quiet and near the hwy 120 entrance. People were really helpful and friendly. It is 45 minutes to an hour drive to Yosemite Valley. As long as you are okay with that, it is a great place to camp as long as you have leveling equipment for your trailer or Rv.
