Great campsite! Lots of pros and a few minor cons. The pros first: Roomy, plenty of bear boxes, and lots of shade (the tree's practically make a natural canopy around the site for most of the day). The site also included 5 picnic/bench tables. Also, it has 3 fire rings, which was awesome! Rangers were readily available and helpful. There are pit toilets nearby and the full flushing restrooms with water faucets are less than a 2 minute walk away. Bear-proof trash bins were also nearby. Lastly, lots of room for tents. However...
If everyone's tent is on the larger side, you might have trouble fitting everyone in just one area. You might need to be a bit spread out to avoid the slanted parts of the camp. Also we noticed that the parking area is a bit small so if all of your vehicles are on the bigger side (trucks, vans), some might not fit and you'll have to park in the overflow lot. No showers on this campground. The site is on a slight hill, so keep that in mind if you are taking heavy items (coolers, propane tanks etc...). You will have to lug them up there. Fortunately, it's a very short walk.
If you plan on spending lots of time in Hetch Hetchy or along Tioga Road (Tuolumne Meadows, Tenaya Lake, etc...), this is a great campsite! You'll be closer and will have to spend less time driving. If you will be doing activities primarily in Yosemite Valley, I suggest a site closer to, or in the Valley so you don't have to drive as much. If not, expect to drive at least an hour to the main areas like El Capitan, Yosemite Falls, or Half Dome. If you plan on visiting Glacier Point from here, keep in mind that it's even more of a drive - about an hour and a half.
Hope this helps. Overall great and clean site! Loved it! Remember to follow the principles of No Trace!

We ended up in the middle of the campground. No clear markers of sites and a lot are slanted. Bathrooms are old and gross and not enough for the amount of people there. A lot of sites you can’t park next to.

Roomy. Quiet. Only thing is that it’s hard to have your tent or RV level.

The campsite was very clean and orderly. The bear bins and trash all worked great. I liked they were not around RV’s and generators.
There are too many campsites too close together. We were lucky that people didn’t show up although sites were booked.
The bathrooms were disgusting. Clogged or over flowing and not enough of them for that many people.
A lot of people disregarded the rules and misused the the gray water sink and the bathroom sinks.
The group site was very loud and the hosts only seemed to care if we had a big fire or not. They were very polite though.
For car camping it was good, not great.

Great first night in Yosemite, and then easier drive into Tuolumne Meadows Campground, where I had four nights.

The campsite was nice and large, with a picnic table and a fire pit. It was kind of difficult to get the RV up the ramp to the site, but we made it work. Good vibes and the park ranger there was nice.
