The campsite was great, water everywhere. The only downside is that we had 6 nights in the campground and had to leave after two nights. Normally during minor flooding events, the upper portions of the Campground remain open. Not this year. The camp hosts were great and very friendly.

Campsite is a little small in comparison to some of the other sites. But still can’t beat the views and location!

Scored two nights at site No. 22 for mid-May right then the sites were released in December. That mad scramble for spots is always stressful but glad we did it. Lower and North Pines both better than Upper Pines, imo. Less packed in, more sun. Quiet at night. Was surprised with the ban on campfires in the morning. I didn't remember that from our last visit. We cook in our trailer, so didn't affect us, but saw the ranger driving the campground in the morning, asking campers to extinguish their breakfast fires. Bummer ... and no bacon smells wafting through the campground. Bathrooms hardly spic and span but decently clean, and we had access to fresh water for dishwashing. Lower Pines location really can't be beat. Was staring at Half Dome from our site, and that's why the valley sites are so desired. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My campsite in Lower Pines was very basic, clean, convenient access to bathrooms, everything in working order. But the location, wow. Beautiful view of Half Dome. Easy walk to Curry Village with free shuttle access to the most popular sites. We took the shuttle to Lower Yosemite Falls, an incredible view not to be missed. Easy walk from our campsite to the trailheads to the Mist Trail, Vernal Falls, and Mirror Lake. I would recommend this campground.

We had a wonderful three night stay here, fabulous location! We were right on the river with a view of half dome. The campground is centrally located and you can easily walk to several trail heads, Curry Village, etc.. I would recommend walking over taking the shuttle. For whatever reason the Shuttles seemed few and far between. The Ranger at the campground was super nice and very informative, ask them if you have any questions or need recommendations. The bathrooms were very clean and there is drinking water available. There are no showers at Lower Pines, closest showers are at Curry Village. Loved our stay, can't wait to go back.

It was a great experience and the hike to Nevada Falls in spring was worth the trip.
