Campground was beautiful and very centrally located in Yosemite Valley. Bathrooms were clean, but no showers. My only complaint is that you are not allowed to have fires in the morning. I really missed coffee and hot chocolate in the early mornings around the fire.

Site #18 is arguably the best scenic site of Lower Pines as it has the best view of Half Dome and North Dome and is next to the Merced River. The site is also near the stage area of the campsite, meaning you have a relatively spacey place that doesn't feel like your neighbor is too close, and the restroom and dumpsite are nearby. The only downside about this site is that it offers zero shade, so it isn't great to occupy before the later evening in Summer or if you plan to use a hammock.

Campground was very clean + well maintained. My only complaints were due to the site I was at being next to the dumpsters + bathroom, other campers kept walking through my campsite. Not just around the edges of it, but actually through it. My neighbors weren’t the greatest and kept allowing their children (and themselves) to walk between my tent and my car, which felt a bit invasive. My pup and I had gotten caught in a hail storm and were soaking wet, so after getting as dry as we could we hungout in the back of my Subaru with the hatch open for a little while. The kid next door continually kept walking between my car and my tent. I kindly said something to one of the adults as he did the same thing and said nothing, just stared at me. Obviously this is no reflection of the campground itself, but my particular campsite wasn’t in the greatest location, coupled with rude campers next door.

Great experience! Stayed one night in 59 and another in 36. 36 is very sunny; we were glad to have a canopy to put over our table. Clean bathrooms. Friendly and helpful campground hosts. Firewood available at Curry Village and Yosemite Village. Little to no cell service with Verizon in the actual campground. Full service at Yosemite Village and on trails going up from the valley floor. Booked 59 months ahead of time but did snag the second night at 36 by checking the app for cancellations the day before.

Great spot, a very central spot to trails and the Yosemite Village. Closest showers are at Curry Village, not at this campground.

Will 100 percent be coming back next year! Staff are very nice and informative about area usage and hike trails nearby such as Mirror Lake, the Mist Trail, Nevada, and verbal falls trail. A beautiful river in next to campgrounds as well for relaxing with nature. Restrooms were up to date with Cleanliness as well. Only a 10 minute walk to Curry village and amenities.

Great campsite. Way less crowded and with more campsite space than Upper Pines which is across the street. FYI Curry Village is right across the street with hot showers that are open 24/7 and also has some food options and a general store for those who need that which is super convenient. Vernal Falls hike is maybe a 10-minute walk from here. Definitely recommend
