The upper pines is where we stayed for this particular trip. Lower pines was closed early it seemed. I think it could have been open longer for sure. Upper pines sites are very close, so there is no privacy and a lot of noise. Lower pines is great.

The lower pines campground is the ideal starting point for your Yosemite adventure as it is centrally located near all of the trail-heads. The camp site is immaculate and the rangers are friendly as can be. Highly recommend staying here!

location of the camp area was great. Great to be in the valley. Not sure if you could actually fit 2 cars/family in our spot. Also the buses were way too crowded. just walk.

Clean, expansive, good neighbors. Could have another shower facility between the grounds if possible.
